Beard oils and balms soften facial hair and the skin underneath it. Oils are blends of plant oils; balms add butters and wax for hold.

- Scented or unscented
- Beard products are often scented with essential oils, which sit right under the nose. Many brands also make an unscented version.

- Some balms are marketed for brows as well. Using a product near the eyes is worth a look at the full ingredient list.
